Week 05 | Saturday

Saturday | March 14, 2026

This Week's Focus: Sometimes God calls us to lead not because we are strong, but because He is strong through our weakness. In Exodus 4, Moses struggles with fear, insecurity, and feelings of inadequacy. God equips him anyway, showing that brokenness is not a barrier to being used by Him.
This week invites us to explore how God meets our weaknesses with His power and uses them for His purposes.

Scripture

Scripture helps us hear God and live His truth.
9 Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. 10 That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

2 Corinthians 12:9-10 NLT

Strength in Weakness

In 2 Corinthians 12:9–10, Paul shares a powerful truth: God’s strength is revealed most clearly in our weakness. When Paul asked God to remove a struggle in his life, God responded, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” Instead of taking the difficulty away, God promised His grace would be enough. Our culture often tells us to hide our weaknesses, but Scripture shows that they can become the very place where God’s power is seen.

We see this clearly in Exodus 4 when God calls Moses to lead the Israelites out of Egypt. Moses quickly focuses on what he lacks—confidence, credibility, and the ability to speak well. Yet God does not withdraw the calling. Instead, He reminds Moses that He is the one who equips His people and promises to help him speak and guide him (Exodus 4:10–12). God knew Moses’ limitations, and He chose him anyway.

Both Moses and Paul remind us that God is not looking for perfect people; He is looking for willing hearts. Our fears, insecurities, and limitations do not disqualify us from being used by God. In fact, they often create space for His strength to shine through us.

This week, if you feel inadequate or unsure, remember that God’s grace is enough. When we trust Him in our weakness, His power can work through us in ways we could never accomplish on our own.

Reflection

Reflection helps us pause, listen, and let God speak to our hearts.
  • Moses focused on what he lacked when God called him. Are there areas where fear or self-doubt might be holding you back from trusting God’s leading?

  • What is one step of faith you can take this week, trusting that God will equip you even if you don’t feel fully prepared?

Journaling Prompts

This Is a Safe Place to Be Honest With God
Moses focused on what he couldn’t do when God called him.
  • What is one area where fear, doubt, or insecurity might be holding you back? Write about how trusting God’s strength instead of your own could change the way you approach it this weekend.

Think about a challenge you may face over the next few days.
  • How can you invite God into that situation and rely on His power instead of trying to handle it on your own?

Worship

Worship gently draws our hearts closer to God, deepening our daily time of prayer and reflection.
This song is a powerful reminder that God is our provider and that His presence is enough for every situation we face. When we feel uncertain or inadequate, the lyrics help us rest in the truth that God will meet our needs and sustain us.

This worship song echoes Paul’s words in 2 Corinthians by reminding us of our daily dependence on God. It’s a simple prayer set to music, acknowledging that in every moment, especially in our weakness, we need God’s grace and guidance.

Memory Verse

Read it once a day. Let it shape how you think and pray this week.

Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.

2 Corinthians 12:9 NLT

Prayer

Through prayer, we talk to God and listen for His guidance.
Lord, just as You equipped Moses and sustained Paul, equip us for the things You have called us to this week. Give us courage where we feel fear, peace where we feel overwhelmed, and faith to take the next step You are placing in front of us. Amen

Keep It Going

You have seen that God equips, reassures, and strengthens the hesitant. He uses weakness, fear, and inadequacy to reveal His power. Keep trusting Him, He is with you every step of the way, and His grace will carry you forward.

As you move through your weekend, remember you don’t have to rely on your own strength. God’s grace is enough, and His power shows up even in our weakest moments. Trust that He is with you and working in ways you may not even see yet.

Take a moment to notice His presence, encourage someone around you, and rest in the truth that God is faithful.

We’ll see you back here on Monday as we continue digging deeper together.
